Naan Bread
Ingredients
1/2 cup warm water
1 teaspoon instant yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 egg
1/2 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tablespoons melted butter
Combine warm water, yeast and sugar in a large bowl, let sit for 5 minutes it until bubbly.
Add in olive oil, yogurt, egg salt and 2 cups of flour. Stir till smooth. Add enough flour to make a soft dough
Place dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled.
Cut dough into 8 pieces. On a floured surface, roll out each piece into a circle.
Spray a cast iron with cooking spray and cook dough till bubbly and golden. My shapes were too large for my pan, so i ended up cutting them in half and cooking smaller. (This is my first attempt, I will perfect the cooking process and pictures next try).
Brush the top with melted butter, enjoy!
