Slow cooker blush sauce with chicken

chicken blush sauce.jpg

This is my slow cooker chicken in blush sauce. I usually serve it with spaghetti pasta, but you may feel free to use any type of pasta you like, or rice! The possibilities are endless!

Add the canned tomatoes and pasta sauce to your slow cooker. In a separate bowl add the heavy cream and the corn starch, once blended stir in the garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, basil and pepper. Add mixture to the crock-pot and stir it all together. Add chicken thighs to crock-pot and make sure to have them nicely covered by the blush sauce.

Cook on low for 6-8 hours, feel free to use chicken breasts, but be mindful that they will cook faster, the time may be about 3-5 on low. Chicken is cooked and ready when internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
