Stove Top Seasoned Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

  • 6-8 boneless skinless chicken thighs

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika

  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 2 tablespoons Tamari (You can also use soy sauce but Tamari is a better flavor)

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • Juice of one large lemon

Mix salt, pepper, smoked paprika, cumin and garlic powder together in a small bowl. Add seasoning over the chicken and spread well. Add the Tamari to the chicken and mix well to season.

You may marinate the chicken for 30 minutes minimum if you like to penetrate the chicken, of not proceed to cooking.

Heat a cat-iron skillet over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil. Seer chicken flat side down, for about 10 minutes. Flip chicken and seer on other side. You may flip the chicken back over to seer more if you like. Chicken is ready when internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Squeeze fresh lemon juice over chicken and allow to rest for 10 minutes.

Eat chicken plain, or serve with sliced peppers and onions, they make a great fajita chicken.
