Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 24ounces marinara

  • 8 cloves garlic

  • 2 cups ricotta cheese

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan

  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 25 ounces frozen cheese ravioli

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 375°F and spray a large baking dish with cooking spray.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a little olive oil to skillet, add onions and start coking them down a bit. Add ground beef, break it down as it browns and cooks. When beef is browned drain any excess grease from the pan.

While the meat is cooking go ahead and make your ricotta mixture. In a large bowl add Ricotta, egg, parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder and onion powder.

Add garlic to pan and mix it. Add in the sauce and mix the sauce well. Turn heat to low and let mixture simmer a few minute stirring often.

Spoon 1/3 of the meat mixture on the bottom of the dish and make sure surface is nice and covered, this starts the ravioli cooking process. Top meat with additional parmesan cheese like I did if you like. Top meat mixture with a single layer of ravioli, top with half of the ricotta mixture and another 1/3 layer of sauce. Continue again.. Another layer of ravioli, the rest of the ricotta and then the final layer and rest of the meat mixture. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove aluminum foil and bake another 10-20minutes or until the cheese on top is cooked to your liking.

Let rest a bit, cut into and enjoy!
