Char Siu Air Fryer Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1 rack of ribs, sliced with bone

  • 4 tablespoons honey

  • 2 tablespoons guochogang

  • 4 tablespoons hoisin sauce

  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 6 cloves of garlic

  • 2 tablespoons ginger

  • 1 teaspoon asian 5 spice

  • 4 tablespoons chinese rice cooking wine

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Add all ingredients together and pour over the pre cut ribs in a ziplock bag. Remove all the air from the bag and ket marinate in the fridge for 24 hours.

Remove meat from the marinade and let it sit at room temperature. Do not discard the marinade, place marinade in a small pot and set aside.

Add 2 tablespoons of honey and cook on low in a pot over heat. Set aside.

Set air fryer to 400 degrees. Cook ribs for 5 mins, flip cook for another 5 minutes. Glaze the meat with the glaze, cook for a bit, glaze and repeat till meat is cooked.

The meat will be charred and thats ok.

Serve meat with anything you like. Rice, noodles, vegetables or with ramen like I did.
